The Arc of Butler has been in existence since 1954. The ARC of Butler County is a non-profit organization that provides resources, networking opportunites, informational meetings, social outings and gatherings, along with organized team sports for individuals with developmental disablities and their families.

ARC of Sedgwick County, The

The ARC of Sedgwick County improves the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and their families providing educational and social opportunities to enhance development of individual potential while advocating for supports and services in the community.

Arkansas City Area Arts Council Program

The Ark City Area Arts Council is dedicated to visual and performing arts. Offering programs for children of all ages. We host exhibits and workshops throughout the year and promote the arts within USD470 schools. Community support and volunteers are always needed.

Arrowhead West, Inc.

AWI is a not for profit organization which serves children ages birth to three and adults over the age of eighteen with developmental disabilities. Common developmental disabilities are mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, head injury and multiple physical disabilities. We also serve young children who have substantial developmental delays or specific cognitive or acquired conditions which could result in developmental disabilities if our services were not provided.

Arthritis Foundation Heartland Region

The Arthritis Foundation helps individuals within Kansas acquire equipment and personal care items that will enable them to take control of their arthritis. Assistance is not available to cover the cost of prescription drugs, doctor bills or medical treatments. This program is open to anyone living in kansas who has doctor-diagnosed arthritis and a documented financial need for assistance.

Assistance League of Wichita

Assistance League of Wichita has been serving the Wichita community since 1984. They are an all-volunteer, "hands-on" organization of 130 dedicated members (they have no paid staff). These volunteers cheerfully give over 15,000 hours annually to serve and fund their four philanthropic programs.

The Boys & Girls Clubs have hundreds of members who attend one of four Club locations. Our program reaches many low to moderate income youth with programming in Character & Leadership; Education, Technology & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness & Recreation that might normally seem unaffordable or inaccessible to them. Case studies show the results can be as simple as a new sense of self-esteem and higher academic achievement among participants, to cases as dramatic as youth being directed away from gang involvement.

Boys & Girls Club of South Central Kansas

Boys & Girls Clubs nurture young people’s self-esteem by instilling in them a sense of belonging, competence, power and influence, and usefulness. The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas does this daily by providing young people with one-on-one relationships with caring adult professionals and fun, age-appropriate, well-rounded programming.To help kids have a better chance against problems such as gangs, street violence and juvenile crime, the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas was opened in Sedgwick County in 1990.

Breakthrough is dedicated to providing support for individuals who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. We will help people become independent, productive citizens of the community through educational assistance, job training, employment support, housing, transportation and wellness.

Butler Community College

At Butler, AQIP is part of an overall Strategic Planning Framework that defines our ongoing institutional priorities, goals and key performance indicators. Through this framework, the college can take a holistic approach to evaluating its current state of effectiveness and define strategic responses to the changing needs and expectations of its stakeholders. The college enacts the planning framework through the Integrated Planning and Resource Allocation (IPRA) process. Dr. Jackie Vietti's update on IPRA and our strategic planning initiatives was delivered at the fall 2009 inservice.

Butler County Department of Aging

While we wear many hats, our primary focus is to offer information and assistance to the citizens of Butler County and their loved ones. From this focus has grown the many programs and services we are able to offer today. The Butler County Department on Aging is also the caretaker of the senior mill levy. Through this mill levy funding, we are also able to help fund all twelve senior centers, the Bradford Library outreach program, and Butler County's portion of the Senior Care Act program.
